How to use this resource:
1: First - Explore sculpture as an art form

These activities are designed to be used either in the classroom, on site, or a mixture of the two.
Curriculum areas:
1: Art. Exploring local artworks not only boosts creativity and encourages critical thinking, it also promotes cultural awareness and supports emotional well-being.
2: Literacy. Students can use the word banks to build an understanding of more sophisticated and subject-based vocabulary.
3: Oracy. The questions are designed for students to discuss their ideas in pairs or small groups, helping them to build their confidence before a bigger discussion. Students will increase their understanding of sculpture as they verbally articulate their ideas.
4: Cross curricular: Nature, birds & an understanding of our place in the natural world can work as shared themes, enhancing the connections between subjects such as art, geography, science, philosophy & ethics, and English.
